Blogs seem to be pretty popular these days. There has to be some element of vanity to it all, in having one’s personal thoughts broadcast to the whole world. But anyway, the purpose of this blog is to make it easy for any interested persons to follow my continuing adventures. Writing this in the summer of 2009, I’m about to head up to British Columbia for 9 weeks of linguistic training with SIL. The theme here is built around the resolution of what seemed to me to be two interests that were long in tension. You can read the back story for more info, but I’ve always been interested in mathematics, science, and other analytical disciplines while simultaneously feeling called into international missions by God.
Six years and two degrees after graduating high school, I believe that God is beginning to lead me down a path that reconciles the two. So with this site you’re invited to come along and experience things as I do. You can probably expect almost weekly updates containing stories, pictures, anecdotes, mindless ramblings, and who knows what else. I don’t know where all this is going, but I’m sure it’s going to be interesting. Some come check it out!

About Me
Name: Aaron Jones

In theory, I'm a simple person. God tells me to do something and I do it. Yet in reality, too often I find myself lacking the wisdom to discern His will, or the courage to carry it out.
But I'm resolved to try.

Hey Aaron,
We have greatly enjoyed getting to know you at CHBC, especially at the Missions group meeting on Mondays. Yours is an inspirational story of how the Lord is guiding you as you search for His will. Blessings on you--David, Jan, Annie and Stephen Hoyle
Thanks for sharing your "backstory" -- Let the journey of reconciliation begin!
Aaron! Firstly, you should be confident in your picture :D
Secondly, i like the name, although I sort of wish you would've used latin...
Thirdly...I'm excited about keeping up on your adventures. Please do something crazy just because. but then again your whole life is quite aberrant, which is why we're friends in the first place...
Cheerio!
